Several members of your club are working closely with St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital, the PGA Sections in Arkansas, Louisiana,
Oklahoma and Texas and Hitchcock Disrubuting to put together a
fundraiser pro-am golf tournament benefiting the hospital. The
tournament is scheduled for October 5th & 6th, 2008. Quite a few local
and non-local businesses have been contacted to sponsor the
tournament and the support offered by these businesses has been
nothing less than exceptional. Even though the bulk of the pros playing
will be club pros, several active and former PGA Tour pros have been
contacted about playing.  A trick shot artist and former national long
drive winner has committed to being here for the tournament.

For this event to be successful we will need many volunteers to help
during the tournament as well as help plan the tournament. Presently we
are looking for volunteers or committee chairpeople to help plan the
tournament and events associated with the tournament. If you are
interested in helping please contact Ricky Self at 286-7545, Vic Pedrola
at 286-5279 or Butch Bryant at 286-9463. They will also be happy to
answer any questions you may have about the tournament.
